Father, children who died in 'horrific' carbon monoxide incident identified

The names of the dad and his children who died after apparent carbon monoxide poisoning have been released.

Three people were taken to the hospital after they were found unresponsive on Nov. 28.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) — The Jefferson County Coroners Office has identified three people who died in what police called a "horrific accident" on Wednesday.

A dad and his two children were found unresponsive in a car in the 9000 block of Plaudit Way around 9 a.m. All three were rushed to the hospital where the father and a little boy died. The girl died on Nov. 29.

According to Anthony Wight, Deputy Coroner, the victims are Juvenal Garcia Mora, 39, Cruz Isaac Garcia, 3, and Mayra Garcia, 8.

The report says they were pronounced dead at the hospital. Officials on the scene said that it appears to involve carbon monoxide poisoning. The Jefferson County coroner's office confirmed in mid-December they died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
