LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- Kentucky's former lieutenant governor Steve Pence is facing a fraud charge by the SEC.

It's all in connection to a Louisville businessman once called the "Vortex of Fraud".

The accusations against Pence, who served as lieutenant governor from 2003 to 2007 under Governor Ernie Fletcher, are in connection with his job as chairman of General Employment Enterprises.

One of the allegations is that Pence acted as an agent for convicted felon Anthony Huff.

Huff's million dollar home in Eastwood burned down in 2014. At the time, arson investigators were looking into whether the fire was set intentionally, but the chief arson investigator said he had no evidence of arson.

Huff is serving 12 years in prison for bribing bank officials to get loans, ripping off local investors and taking their money to live a lavish lifestyle.
