LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A former University of Louisville basketball standout and NBA star is opening his new restaurant on Monday, Jan. 26, here in Louisville.
Darrell Griffith is launching "Griff's." It's a new sports restaurant inspired by his career achievements.
It's located in Cardinal-town on West Cardinal Boulevard.
Griffith is a member of the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame and helped UofL to its first national championship in 1980.
Griffith, also known as "Doctor Dunkenstein," was named the best college basketball player of the year that season.
His new Louisville restaurant opened at 9 a.m. Monday.
