Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Forbes released a list of the coolest cities in the United States, and Louisville came out on top!
A Forbes columnist came up with a list of 10 coolest cities by asking "high-end travel designers" about their favorite destinations in the United States.
Tom Marchant, co-founder of a luxury-travel site, told Forbes that Louisville is "all about good times and good vibes, with vibrant music and art."
“You can get to the heart of a city by looking at its drinking culture,” he continued. Kentucky is bourbon country, and “the nearby home of Bulleit Bourbon at Stitzel-Weller Distillery is a must-see.”
The list is intended to go beyond cities on everyone's wish list, such as New York and Nashville.
Columbus, Ind. also made the cut.
“The unlikely city of Columbus has become a hot spot for architecture buffs,” says Biggs Bradley.
