Former democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris continues to lend her voice to the justice for Breonna Taylor fight

Breonna Taylor was shot and killed by Louisville Metro police officers on March 13 when they executed a no-knock search warrant at her apartment.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Breonna Taylor's death remains top of mind for thousands in Louisville and across the country. Taylor and George Floyd have been the focal point for the thousands of protesters in Louisville calling for justice in their deaths.

Taylor was shot and killed by Louisville Metro police officers on March 13 when they executed a no-knock search warrant at her apartment. Officers opened fire after Taylor's boyfriend admittedly fired his gun because he thought someone was trying to break into the apartment.

Thursday, former presidential candidate Kamala Harris took to Twitter to put Breonna Taylor's death back in the spotlight. She tweeted: "The officers who murdered Breonna Taylor nearly three months ago still have not been charged. We can't forget about Black women in our quest for justice."

This is not the first time Harris has tweeted about Breonna Taylor. She also tweeted on May 13 saying she's calling on DOJ to investigate the case. She said "Breonna Taylor's family deserve answers."
