LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Less than a week after being sentenced on federal charges, a former Louisville Metro Police officer pleaded guilty to state charges in the Youth Explorer scandal.

Kenneth Betts pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two minors he met through the program.

As part of the deal, Betts pleaded guilty to two third-degree sodomy charges for a 5-year sentence.
