Amazon donates dozens of Christmas trees to benefit holiday event in Louisville

The trees, donated through sponsorships, will play a significant role in supporting the children in our community.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — It's not even Thanksgiving yet, but the Christmas spirit is already coming to town.

On Wednesday, Amazon donated 75 trees to help benefit Louisville nonprofit, I'd Rather Be Reading, and the 4th annual 'Lights on Main' event, which will take place at the Frazier History Museum.

The trees, donated through sponsorships, will play a significant role in supporting the children in our community.

"It feels pretty amazing and it feels like we are not doing it by ourselves, feels like our whole community is rallying behind us to say 'yes, we care about kids too' and we wanna do what we can with the resources we have to make it a possibility," Ally Ogle, with IRBR, said.

The opening party for 'Lights on Main' will be from 6-9 p.m. on Friday. Dec. 1.

The 'Lights on Main' exhibit will remain open through Jan. 8, 2024.
