LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A significant number of Kentuckians are uninsured.
Beyond that, even less people have vision insurance on top of medical.
A free vision clinic took place in West Louisville at the Goodwill Opportunity Center on Tuesday, hoping to bring the solution to the right people.
The OneSight Foundation partnered with United Healthcare and Goodwill Industries to offer free eye exams and glasses to nearly 300 people.
“It is so critical right now. Your vision matters. It helps you live a healthy life; helps you contribute to a workforce development standpoint. It’s important we help take care of people’s eyes,” United Healthcare CEO Krista Hensel said.
Day two starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
