Funeral arrangements have been set for Deidre Mengedoht, the LMPD detective who was struck and killed by a MSD semi-truck driver on Christmas Eve.
Mengedoht's visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 30 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, located at 4400 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, KY 40218.
Parking for the visitation will be at the Eastwood Shopping Center located at 4800 Bardstown Road (on the corner of Bardstown Rd. & Watterson Trail). Shuttles provided by LMPD will be available to transport people from the Eastland Shopping Center to Arch L. Heady at Resthaven. Please do not park at Resthaven which is reserved for family members.
The funeral will be Monday, December 31 at Southeast Christian Church. The funeral service will start at 11 a.m.
The burial will be immediately following the funeral service at Hebron Cemetery, located at the intersection of Highway 61 and East Hebron Lane in Bullitt Co., KY.
On Saturday, December 29, the Louisville Metro Police Department will honor Mengedogt's legacy with one final procession. LMPD asks that people line the sides of the road to show support.

NOTE: In the original post, the Fern Valley and Shepherdsville Rd turns were flipped. The route is supposed to be Outer Loop to Shepherdsville to Fern Valley then to Fegenbush, according to LMPD.
Mengedoht, 32, was killed Monday when the driver of a MSD semi-truck crashed into her cruiser during a traffic stop on I-64 near downtown.
The driver, Roger Burdette, has been charged with the murder of a police officer and driving under the influence.
