LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI) celebrated on Thursday its third class of graduates from its Power to Prosper Minority Business Accelerator program.
The program is designed to help local businesses scale their operations, add new jobs, and dramatically increase their revenues.
Thursday, 13 minority-owned businesses joined the three dozen others that have completed the program.
"Since the program started two years ago, we've helped nearly three dozen businesses scale through access to new capital, business skills, and strategic connections,” Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, president and CEO of GLI, said. “I am proud of the achievements of our three classes of graduates and look forward to seeing their continued success in our region."
Organizers said they hope the program will help them continue to create an inclusive business community.
"We focus on growing our economy with the health and strength of our local and regional businesses," Dana Johnson with GLI said. "And with that, all business of all creeds, colors, nationalities, need to be included and help them to scale up to be on that level playing field."
