LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – Motorists need to be aware of a downtown road closure on Monday, Aug. 6.
South Fourth Street between Jefferson Street and Market Street will be closed on Monday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The closure is due to the Kentucky International Convention Center grand opening. The center has been undergoing construction for the last two years.
The transformation cost $200 million.
The center’s new features include 200,000 square feet of exhibit space, expanded ballroom, 52 renovated meeting rooms, improved pedestrian flow, and an environmental design promoting energy and water conservation.
