1 dead after two-vehicle crash in Grayson County

Kentucky State Police said the crash happened around 7:45 p.m. Monday in the 8000 block of Peoina Road near Old Peoina Loop.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A two-vehicle crash in Grayson County has left one person dead.

Kentucky State Police said the crash happened around 7:45 p.m. Monday in the 8000 block of Peoina Road near Old Peoina Loop.

According to their preliminary investigation, a Ford F450 towing a trailer containing an over-dimensional portable shed, was traveling west on Peoina Road.

A vehicle traveling east struck the shed on the driver’s side, causing it to leave the road and go down an embankment.

The driver, identified as 56-year-old Lisa Meredith of Clarkson, Kentucky, died at the scene. The driver of the Ford truck was not injured.

Authorities closed Peoina Road for several hours while the investigation continued.
