Fort Knox, schools releasing early due to the potential for severe weather

Here's the latest information on schools closing early due to weather.

Fort Knox has begun releasing non-essential personnel due to the potential for severe weather, officials said. Weather and mission-essential personnel will work as scheduled.

Hardin County Schools will be releasing early today at 1:15 p.m. This is due to the potential severe weather moving into the area. 

Hardin County Schools posted this on their Facebook page:

Taylor County Schools will be releasing at 2 p.m.  Also, all after-school activities are canceled. They posted this notice to their Facebook page:

Green County Schools also dismissed at 12:45 p.m. CT due to severe weather. All after-school activities were canceled.

Due to the threat of severe weather, Green County Schools will be dismissed at 12:45pm today. All after-school extracurricular activities will be cancelled this afternoon. If parents or guardians...

A Tornado Watch is in effect for Breckinridge, Bullitt, Carroll, Clark, Crawford, Dubois, Floyd, Grayson, Hardin, Jefferson, Meade, Oldham, Trimble, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Lawrence, Orange, Perry, Scott, and Washington counties until 5 p.m.
