TARC to offer free rides on Election Day

TARC is helping the community to get out and vote this election.

KENTUCKY, USA — Getting to the polls on Election Day in Jefferson County has gotten a little easier.

TARC said it will offer free rides to help voters get to and from polling stations.

TARC will have its regular schedule on all fixed routes that day and riders and skip the fare box to help them reach their polling location or any other destination.

If you are a TARC 3 user, this also applies to you.

“We are pleased to help everyone make their voices heard by voting.” Bobbie Holsclaw, Jefferson County Clerk and Chairperson of the Board of Elections said in a statement. “TARC's initiatives are vital in enabling eligible voters to exercise their essential right to vote and ensure their voices are heard. Maintaining the integrity of our elections requires a collective effort from our community, and TARC's dedication to providing fare-free services greatly supports this mission.”
