LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Highlands Commerce Guild asked during Wednesday's meeting for a list of "best practices" on what to do to stay safe with the recent amount of gun violence in the area.
There have been two homicides since the beginning of January; one happened outside Wick's Pizza around dinner time on a Sunday night, and the other happened in the Tyler Park neighborhood.
Metro Councilwoman Cassie Chambers Armstrong assured business owners new guidance has been written and will be released soon.
"They're all best practices around ways to keep businesses safe in a multitude of ways, whether that's from, you know, people who might have medical issues, whether that's like we saw with people spiking drinks and the sexual assaults, whether that's gun violence, whatever it might be," she said.
