LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- With election day just three months away, the Jefferson County Board of Elections is making sure it has all the proper security measures in place.
The county clerk's office welcomed Gregory Howard with Homeland Security to review the county's infrastructure and security. County officials told WHAS his visit was about more than just making sure ballots get into the box.
“I think he pretty much covered everything. He's went from the storage of equipment to how the results come in, how they're driven in, how they're tabulated, the computer room, the access, everything,” Nore Ghibaudy with the Jefferson Co. Board of Elections said.
This year, election day is Tuesday, November 6.
