Homicide unit investigating after man found dead in Park Hill neighborhood

The man was found dead around 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Police said there were signs of foul play, but did not mention his cause of death.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a man in the Park Hill neighborhood.

According to Dwight Mitchell with LMPD, officers responded to the 1500 block of Dumesnil Ave. around 9:30 a.m. on June 12 on the report of a person down.

When they arrived, they found 45-year-old Michael Profitt, who they said was "obviously deceased."

Police said signs of foul play were suspected and the LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating the incident.

There are no suspects at this time. The identity of the man and his cause of death have not been released.
