LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Local veterans received a hero’s welcome at the Louisville Muhammad Ali International airport as dozens welcomed them home from Tuesday’s Bluegrass Honor Flight.
The veterans spent the day in Washington D.C., visiting monuments in their honor.
The flight is a way to honor their service and sacrifice for our country.
Honor Flight Bluegrass takes more than 80 veterans to Washington D.C.
