JACKSON COUNTY, Ind.--Tuesday was just another day at the office for an Indiana deputy--until dispatch received a 911 call from a woman stuck in high water. The deputy then had to go into rescue mode.

In a Facebook post, Jackson County Sheriff Rick Meyer says deputy Jesse Hutchinson responded to a call around 1:00 p.m. about a vehicle stuck in high water. The driver told dispatch the water was up to the bottom of her steering wheel.

When deputy Hutchinson arrived on the scene, he put on a wet suit and walked out to the woman's vehicle. He carried her about 100 yards to safety. She was then taken by ambulance to Schneck Medical Center to be checked out.

In his post, Sheriff Meyer recognized the Crothersville Police Department and Jackson Washington Fire Department for their assisted at the scene.
