1 dead, 2 'severely' injured following Scott County crash, Indiana police say

According to Indiana State Police, the incident was reported just before 9:30 p.m. Friday near the intersection of State Road 56 and South Zion Road.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman is dead, and two others have been injured following a multivehicle crash in Scott County, Indiana.

According to Indiana State Police, the incident was reported just before 9:30 p.m. Friday near the intersection of State Road 56 and South Zion Road.

Police said the crash involved a 2002 Ford Focus, a 2013 Chevy Impala and 2014 Ford Fiesta. The drivers of each of the vehicles were the only ones inside.

ISP called the crash complex and did not reveal specifics of the crash. They confirmed 21-year-old Catelynn Jewell of Scottsburg, who was driving the Ford Focus, died at the scene.

The two other victims were taken to UofL Hospital in Louisville to be treated for severe injuries.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
