Indiana authorities have identified the two drivers that died in a crash involving three semis in Scott County.

Police identified the drivers as 55-year-old Julianne Reid of Indianapolis and 38-year-old Damion Stewart of Miami.

At about 11:50 p.m. on Monday, Indiana State Police (ISP) and EMS responded to a crash and truck fire on I-65 southbound near the 33 mile marker, just south of the Austin exit according to authorities.

ISP said officers found three semi-trucks blocking both lanes of traffic with two of the semi-trucks on fire. First responders and firefighters from Jennings Township, Scottsburg City, Vienna Township and other nearby departments responded to the fire.

Investigators believe a white Volvo semi-truck stopped in traffic due to construction near the 31-mile marker when Reid's semi slowed to stop behind it. Shortly after, a third semi-truck, driven by Stewart, failed to stop and collided with Reid's vehicle.

Stewart and Reid both died at the scene.

ISP said the driver in the sleeper of the first truck is in critical condition and the other driver was left uninjured.
