CORYDON, Ind. — Crews in Corydon, Indiana have located where the water leak in their area was coming from after searching for the past three days.

According to a Facebook post on Corydon Town Hall's page, crews found the leak along Poolside Drive around 11:45 p.m. Thursday night. A pipe was 9 feet deep and had a 5 foot split in it. It turns out that water was going straight down into a 60 foot deep cave, explaining why no water was rising to the surface.

The service was restored to Settlers Trace around 1 a.m., and crews flushed the mains for an additional hour.

A boil water advisory is still in effect until all bacteria tests are cleared.

Corydon Town Hall thanked the public for their patience during this "very difficult water outage."
