Fire in New Albany leaves duplex heavily damaged

The fire happened in the 1800 block of Scott Road on Saturday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — New Albany authorities are investigating after a fire at a two-story duplex left residents displaced.

The New Albany Fire Union said the fire happened in the 1800 block of Scott Road Saturday afternoon.

The fire union said crews found heavy flames coming from the attic space and in the back of the building.

Multiple hand lines were used to get the fire under control.

No injuries were reported.

The fire is being investigated by the Indiana State Fire Marshall’s Office.
