NEW ALBANY, Ind. — The annual Harvest Homecoming Festival held in downtown New Albany announced that they are canceling in 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns.
This would have been the 51st year the festival was held.
In the Facebook post, the festival said they will be in touch with all volunteers, sponsors and partners in the coming days to answer any questions.
The festival which is a week-long celebration where vendors line the streets of downtown. A number of events take place all week as well. The festival usual starts at the beginning of October.
Harvest Homecoming calls on residents to continue to support local non-profits and local businesses.
The festival is looking to be back once again in 2021.
