LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Indiana State Police (ISP) has served another search warrant in the case against Jamey Noel, the former Clark County sheriff charged with 15 felonies.

Authorities confirmed they served the warrant on or around Dec. 29, 2023 at the home of former Clark County council member Brittney Ferree.

Detectives have served numerous search warrants as part of their investigation in Noel. He is charged with a total of 15 felonies including corrupt business influence, theft, official misconduct and ghost employment.

The investigation started when current Sheriff Scottie Maples discovered a wiretap inside the sheriff's office that was planted during Noel's tenure. After an internal investigation, Maples and his command staff found documents that appeared to be falsified, including efforts to provide a pension to a former employee and family member who didn't qualify.

He's pleaded not guilty to all felony counts.

He was scheduled to be in court on Monday, but it was rescheduled to Jan. 16, 2024.
