Jeffersontown Police searching for alleged suspect who stole multiple vehicles from car dealership

Police said some of the missing vehicles were a 2024 Corvette, a 2019 Camaro and a 2021 Silverado.

JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky. — Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole multiple vehicles from a car dealership. 

The Jeffersontown Police Department said officers responded to an incident Tuesday at Bachman Chevrolet, located at 9650 Bluegrass Parkway, following reports of multiple vehicles being stolen overnight. 

Authorities said some of the missing vehicles were a 2024 Corvette, a 2019 Camaro and a 2021 Silverado. 

With help from OnStar and Louisville Metro Police (LMPD), Jeffersontown Police detectives said they executed search warrants and found the stolen 2024 Corvette and 2019 Camaro.

In addition, a 2017 Corvette, that was recently reported stolen to LMPD, was also recovered during the investigation.

Authorities said they have identified Abubaker Ahmed as a "person of interest" in relation to the thefts.
