Jeffersonville's 10th Street project wraps

Construction has led to new, modern roadway with plenty of upgrades.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – After decades of discussion, the City of Jeffersonville is celebrating the end of construction on 10th Street.

The roadway has been replaced and widened.

Other changes include crossings, sidewalks and upgraded traffic signals.

Both sides of the road have new street signs, improved visibility and a new sewer line.

“If you had to ask why did I run for mayor, it’s because of this project right here. My family had a restaurant for 50 plus years on 10th Street and 10th Street has just been neglected and neglected,” Mayor Mike Moore said.

The final cost of the project was an estimated $13.5 million.
