LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Construction work will halt traffic on another southern Indiana roadway for nearly three months.
According to INDOT, Payne Koehler Road over I-265 will close for 11 weeks for bridge rehabilitation work beginning March 18, weather permitting. The bridge is located just east of Charlestown Road.
INDOT said during the closure, drivers should use the official detour route which follows Charlestown Road to Chapel Lane and then back to Payne Koehler Road.
The roadwork is part of a $22 million contract awarded to E&B Paving last October which includes the Progress Way project in Clarksville.
INDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and use caution when traveling in construction zones.
