JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) – U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers end a longstanding dispute over the transfer of valuable land.
The deed now allows River Ridge to move forward with significant new redevelopment projects on high value areas that are expected to bring in new businesses and jobs to southern Indiana.
Donnelly has worked with the River Ridge Development Authority for more than a year to make this transfer happen.
"This was a bipartisan effort to work non-stop because this is about jobs, jobs, jobs here in southern Indiana. We're going to have a tremendous expansion because of the hard work of everybody here," he said.
The transfer of the deed took place during a Monday news conference to the River Ridge Commerce Center.
