CLARK COUNTY, Indiana — A southern Indiana bus driver and three students were injured after a school bus crash Tuesday morning in Clark County.
According to Indiana State Police Sergeant Carey Huls, a Greater Clark County Schools bus drove off the side of the road and struck a tree around 7 a.m. in the 5300 block of Charlestown Pike.
ISP officers found the driver unconscious. They were taken by ambulance along with one student to the hospital. Two other students were driven to the hospital by private means.
Authorities believe the students' and driver's injuries are minor and they are all expected to survive.
ISP officials say the cause of the crash has yet to be determined, however officials said there are no indications that the driver was impaired.
Authorities said Charlestown Pike will remain closed as the Jeffersonville Police Department's Traffic Crash Investigation Team continues their investigation.
Jeffersonville Police said the school district is cooperating with law enforcement agencies to ensure a thorough examination of the crash.
