CHARLESTOWN, Ind. — An Indiana man was arrested after allegedly stabbing a man in the neck at an apartment complex on Friday afternoon.
Around 5 p.m., the Charlestown Police Department said they received calls regarding an "unknown male" trying to force his way into a second floor apartment located in the 700 block of Main Street in Charlestown.
Police said callers also reported a man that had been stabbed in the neck/facial area at the same location and gave a description of the male suspect.
First responders arrived on scene to find a 23-year-old man, a resident of the apartment complex, stabbed by the suspect who had allegedly fled on foot.
Authorities said the victim was transported to UofL Hospital, where he is currently in stable condition after surgery.
Twenty minutes later, officers said they found a man that matched the suspect's description on foot one block away from the scene.
Ryan Fox, 27, was detained and taken to the police department for questioning.
Fox was then arrested and charged with attempted murder, burglary with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery, and criminal recklessness.
Police said he is also a resident at the apartment complex.
Fox is currently booked at the Clark County Jail.
The Charlestown Police Department is continuing to investigate details of this incident.
