Two people trapped in crashed car rescued by southern Indiana first responders

Firefighters rescued two people who were trapped in a car after a crash in New Albany.

NEW ALBANY, Ind. — Two people are recovering after New Albany Fire Department crews rescued them from a car trapped in an embankment.

At about 4 p.m. on Wednesday, firefighters found two people pinned inside a car in the area of Grantline Road and I-265. Crews freed them with the help of New Albany Police Department and Ameripro EMS.

The two people were taken to the hospital to have their injuries treated, according to a New Albany Fire Facebook post.
