CLARKSVILLE, Ind. — A real estate group has plans to reimagine a vacant lot in Clarksville and Phase I of the construction is already underway.

Platform Real Estate Group held a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday to announce Platform Park at I-65 North.

The park has the potential to bring new businesses to southern Indiana.

The Platform Group is made of professionals from Thorton Capitol, Denton Floyd Real Estate Group and more.

According to a press release, the park is "designed to consist of five Class A industrial facilities" totaling over one million square feet. It's enough for five Class A industrial buildings.

Platform Park will be located just off the Sellersburg I-65 exit.

“Platform is committed to investing in long-term quality assets that will continue to benefit communities for years to come,” Vice President of Platform Mark Ruley said. “The development of Platform Park at I-65 North will provide a top-of-line industry addition to Southern Indiana and add more jobs to the tremendous growth that is already happening in the area"

Phase I will represent "336,000 square feet of industrial Class A space that will include a cross-dock facility that will feature 29 loading docks, a 185-foot truck court, and a 36-foot clear height."

They say the site will offer 65 tractor-trailer spaces and 252 employee parking spaces. There are also plans for an additional 154 spaces in the future.

The park will also have six exterior galvanized steel staircases and three ramps with sectional doors for vehicular access.

Southern Indiana is seeing a boost recently with major companies like Meta opening facilities in the River Ridge Complex.
