Jeffersonville plans new 29-acre park with fishing lake, dog park, playground

Construction is set to begin in the spring of 2025.

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. —

The city of Jeffersonville, Indiana, has plans to add a major park to the city, officials announced Thursday.

The land, donated by Jeff Corbett of premier homes, is in the 4200 block of Middle Road. That’s near Ellingsworth Commons.

“We’ve had so many requests for a nice dog park and open fields for kids to play,” Moore said. “I think we’ve found the perfect spot.”

The 29-acre park will include a fishing lake, walking trails, dog park playground and picnic pavilion with restrooms.

Construction is expected to begin next spring.
