LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The father of a Louisville boy accused of killing his step-brother is now facing murder charges in connection with the case.
Joshua Gouker was indicted Thursday on several charges; murder, wanton endangerment and unlawful transaction with a minor, tampering with physical evidence, torture of a dog or cat and persistent felony offender.
Trey Zwicker's body was found behind Liberty High School last May. Police eventually arrested Gouker's son and Zwicker's stepbrother, Josh Young and charged him with the homicide.
Young is accused of beating Zwicker with a baseball bat near a creek behind the school.
Police said Gouker told them Young killed Zwicker because he was jealous of him and he was afraid Zwicker would tell on him for vandalizing cars.
WHAS11's Adam Walser is working this story and will have much more coming up during the evening newcasts.
