LOUISVILLE, Ky. — UPS, one of Louisville's biggest employers, is expecting to hire more than 1,500 seasonal employees during an annual hiring event this week.
The "UPS Brown Friday" event will be at 8203 National Turnpike on Friday, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days.
Seasonal positions available include warehouse workers, driver helpers and support drivers.
The upcoming hiring weekend is part of the company’s broader effort to hire more than 100,000 seasonal workers it needs for the holiday season.
Across the country, UPS plans to hire at least 60,000 seasonal employees during one weekend, which starts Nov. 3. There are more than 600 in-person and virtual events nationwide – where many applicants will have a job offer in less than 20 minutes.
A list of virtual hiring information sessions is available here. Those who are unable to attend a hiring event can still apply here.
