'Joyful, magical event' | Kentucky Kingdom will be open this winter for first-ever Christmas experience

The $8 million investment will extend Kentucky Kingdom’s season by an additional 24 days.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky Kingdom is welcoming its first-ever winter experience -- 'Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom.'

Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom will be a "joy-filled, magical event unlike anything Kentucky has ever seen," according to a news release. The $8 million investment will extend Kentucky Kingdom’s season by an additional 24 days.

As guests first enter, they will be immersed in a winter wonderland filled with more than one million Christmas lights. As they explore the park, they'll come across 'Holly Jolly Junction' where they can make reindeer food and snack on custom designed Christmas cookies. They can also venture 'Santa's Village,' where he'll be waiting to hear what everyone wants for the holidays, and the Snow Zone, a "frozen paradise with Instagrammable iridescent snowflakes", a glittering tree and a four story, 175-foot-long snow tubing hill.

Visitors will be able to enjoy Christmas character meet-and-greets, seasonal foods, photo ops, and more.

Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom will open on Nov. 29, 2024 and run through Jan. 4, 2025.
