LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Kentucky man is on a winning streak after playing the Cash Blast Scratch-off on Wednesday.

Albert Turner of Ludlow, Kentucky plays the Kentucky Lottery semi-regularly, and won his first ticket on a scratch off this month Lottery officials said. That ticket was worth $50.

But his second winning ticket was the big one.

Lottery officials said he spent $10 from that first win on another game.

“I don’t always scratch them off, I just scan them,” Turner said. “I scanned it (the ticket), and it said ‘See Clerk Corp.’”

He originally thought there was something wrong with the ticket before he actually scratched it. He scratched it and revealed wins on all 21 spots, and won $175,000.

“I couldn’t catch my breath,” he said. “I ran home and signed the back of it.”

When he got home, Turner said his wife asked him why he was so pale, to which he responded he "hit it big."

“My heart was crawling out of my throat,” he added.

Later that same day, the Kenton County player said he posted on social media that it was the best day of his life because he won the lottery.

“People asked how much, and I said ‘$1,000,’” Turner joked.

After taxes, Turner walked away $123,000 richer. Him and his wife said they'll use the money to take a vacation and pay off bills.

Riverside Marketplace sold him the winning ticket, and will get $1,750 Lottery officials said
