LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Kentucky State Fair is a couple of months away and officials are looking for “blue ribbon winners.”
The fair wants competitors of all ages to participate in its contests which include culinary, antiques, livestock, homebrew beer, photography and textiles. These categories are then further divided into 7,000 classes of competition.

The Kentucky State Fair takes place Aug. 15 through Aug. 25.
