(WHAS 11)--A judge has upheld the recommended sentence for a man who caused a deadly crash in Hardin County summer 2014.
Kyle Thompson was formally sentenced March 24 to life in prison plus 100 years.
He was convicted of murder, assault and fleeing police in the crash on the Joe Prather Highway in June.
Thompson had three children in a van with him when he crashed into a Jeep driven by 22-year-old Ashlee Berry. She was on her way home from work at the Troll Pub in Louisville and died at the scene.
Thompson was injured in the crash and is now in a wheelchair.
The three children were also hurt.
