LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- It's official, Louisville City Football Club announced July 17 it has an agreement for the last component of funding for the new soccer stadium.
It broke ground in June in Butchertown. Fifth third bank will be the front-runner of the $55 million facility.
The transaction is expected to close in August, allowing the project to move forward with construction as scheduled.
The stadium will house more than 11,000 seats and is expected to open in March 2020.
