LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) - A local girl is hoping for the safe return of her tortoise named Levi.
Levi has been a part of the Johnson family since she was the size of an Oreo. Levi's owner, Trinity Johnson, had always wanted a tortoise and had to save up for a year to get her. She has been attached to her ever since.
Now, Trinity and her family are hoping that someone out there may be able to help find their beloved pet. On Saturday, June 30, the family came back to their home in the St. Matthews area and found their gate was open. The family said that they always secure the gate because they know Levi is there as well as their dogs. So when they saw the gate open, it was a huge red flag that she was gone. Nothing else looked disturbed or was missing, just Levi.
