LOUISVILLE, Ky. — In an effort to create a new tradition, the Downtown Louisville Partnership is hosting a downtown holiday market for families waiting on Santa.
It is scheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 2, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 4th Street and Jefferson during Light Up Louisville.
Rebecca Fleischaker with the Downtown Louisville Partnership said there will be about 40 vendors available for people to do some holiday shopping.
"We're going to have gift venders, we're gonna have things that you will want to buy for your self or your family that are specifically holiday related," she said. "Most of them homemade, some bourbon-related, some leather-related, some candles."
She hopes since they are on the parade route that there will be big crowds at the market.
"I do think that if, it's kind of, 'if you build it, they will come,'" Fleischaker said. "What we are trying to do is make downtown, look, look good, feel good and provide events that people want to come to."
