LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is dead after a multi-vehicle car crash in the Fairdale neighborhood Saturday night.
Around 8:30 p.m., Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) responded to a call for service on a report of a car crash at the intersection of New Cut Road and Brown Austin Road.
Police said they arrived minutes after the call and found a two-vehicle head-on car crash at that location.
First responders checked the vehicles and found an "unrestrained" man. Officers said he was the sole occupant inside the vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
LMPD said the driver of the second vehicle involved was "alert and conscious." He was checked by EMS on scene, but refused medical attention.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
No additional vehicles were involved in this collision.
