LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville Metro police officer was injured Friday in a crash and taken to the hospital.
A police vehicle was involved in a collision with a Toyota pickup truck about 11:30 a.m. in the 500 block of South Hurstbourne Parkway, according to an LMPD news release. Louisville Fire and Rescue responded to the incident and extricated the officer from the vehicle.
The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Toyota was not transported for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
