LMPD increasing patrols around Cherokee Park on reports of man inappropriately touching women

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) is increasing patrols around Cherokee Park after multiple reports of a man exposing himself and inappropriately touching women.

An LMPD spokesperson said on May 2, police received several calls from various areas in the park.

They said women had reported a man, possibly wearing a mask, who ran up to them, touched them inappropriately and then ran off. Officers responded but weren't able to find him.

Then on Monday afternoon, they said police had received a call about a man who exposed himself to a woman near the golf course before running off.

The department asked for anyone with information to call their anonymous tip line at 574-LMPD (5673) or use their online portal.
