LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a man showed up at a south Louisville hospital with a gunshot wound.
Officers with the department's Fourth Division were sent to UofL Health's Mary and Elizabeth Hospital around 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon after a man was driven to the hospital suffering from a gunshot.
An LMPD spokesperson said officers determined he had been shot in the Beechmont neighborhood near the intersection of Peachtree and Walter Avenue.
The man is expected to survive his injuries. Police said they do not have a suspect at this time.
