LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man was found shot outside of an Auburndale business early Tuesday morning.
Officers with Louisville Metro Police's Third Division responded to a report of a shooting in the 5400 block of New Cut Road, near Jones Drive, around 6 a.m.
At the scene, police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg outside of a nearby business.
LMPD said responding officers immediately began giving the man First Aid until EMS arrived. The man was later transported to the University of Louisville Hospital.
Authorities said the man is expected to survive his injuries.
The department's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation, which remains ongoing at this time. Police said detectives are canvassing the area, but there are no known suspects.
