LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Authorities are investigating after a man arrived at a Louisville hospital with gunshot wound following a shooting in the St. Joseph neighborhood.
Louisville Metro Police officials said Fourth Division officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2300 block of Crittenden Drive around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Officers were at first unable to locate a victim, however staff at the University of Louisville Hospital notified police a man had arrived by private means with a gunshot wound. Authorities believe the man was shot at the Crittenden Drive location.
Hospital staff said the man was alert and conscious when he arrived. He is expected to survive his injuries.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation, however there are no known suspects.
