Louder Than Life delayed Friday due to weather

Louisville is experiencing strong winds and heavy rain from Tropical Storm Helene remnants.
A lot of Loudmouths told WHAS11 they've brought ponchos, rain suits, rain shoes and towels ready to go for Friday's rain.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louder Than Life is delayed on Friday due to weather concerns.

The four-day festival is delaying opening its doors to "ensure everyone's safety," officials said in a social media post.

The first acts scheduled to perform Friday are "Silly Goose" at 11:30 a.m., "Like a Storm" at noon, and "Jager Henry" at 12:05 p.m. It's unclear whether or not these times will be changed due to weather delays. Full lineup schedule here.

While festivalgoers were prepared for several rainy days during the festival, remnants from Tropical Storm Helene are currently descending upon the Louisville area.

Helene made landfall late Thursday night as a major Category 4 hurricane in Florida. By Friday morning, Helene was downgraded to a tropical storm with maximum sustained winds of 70 mph over Georgia.
